Futuristic bikes

August 21, 2013

The 21st century is revealing many weird and wonderful products, some useful and life changing, and others definately not.

Here at Bike Dock Solutions we have put together some of the best futurist bikes. We think the most important question to ask is; do we think the bike storage industry will be modernised to fit in with these bikes? How long until we live in the futuristic future?

1. A pedal-free bike ‘Fliz’

Riders of the ‘Fliz’ must strap themselves into a harness (the “5 point belt system”). After building up enough speed, they lift their legs onto footrests located near the bike’s rear wheel. All looks a bit exhausting but at least, going on normal run looks a bit more appealing.

2. Carrier bike

This is a designed by Shin Hyung Sub Shin, it does what it says on the tin, folds away enough to be carrier and also holds a shelf to store your belongings. It has an electric battery and electric motor to assist the cyclist with the cargo they are also holding in their bike

3. The Innsenti

The Innsenti is basically a tricycle on steroids that is meant for intense exercise or just a leisurely ride. It claims it will maximise your heart rate, burn calories, and keep you in the utmost shape.
